1.Anatomy

Hemorrhoids are swollen, enlarged veins that form inside and outside of your anus and rectum.

There are two type of hemorrhoid:

  1. Internal hemorrhoid

  2. External hemorrhoid

Internal hemorrhoids are located in the lining of the anus or lower rectum, while external hemorrhoids are located under the skin around the anus.

Hemorrhoid may be any degree either internal or external.

3.Procedure detail

Hemorrhoidectomy is the removal of the hemorhhoid node.

4.Code selection criteria

Go to Lymhpadenectomy, and you will get all code for excision of Lymph node, So code selection based on

  1. Lymph site : Axillary, Inguinal, Cervical etc.

  2. Depth : Superficial , Deep

  3. Region: Limited, Radical

  4. Approach : Open or Laparoscopy.
